Hello everybody!
After reviewing the wiki on migrating Synchronet, I removed and did a fresh install on my Linux
Mint VM. After the install I set it up slightly with scfg. I then copied my data, ctrl, node*,
text, mods, and xtrn directories. After that when I ran scfg again,
nothing was updated, everything
was the way it was before I copied the directories. Am I missing something, why is Synchronet not
reading the newer files?
now that i figured out why i couldnt reply here on my own system. :) do you have your file permissions on the linux side set correctly?
... Nine times out of ten the statisticians are wrong

Just curious, what have you found so far?
Well, I'll try and not be long winded. I have removed and reinstall SBBS about 4 times, installed with the git repo and and ran make. I also followed the unix install from the wiki's. The 1st couple of times it installed into a dir of /home/sbbs/sbbs/, I have copied my Windows SBBS right over the top of it, but it never took for some reason. So I started using ChatGPT, that helped alot. Finally I installed it on the root as /sbbs copied the main directories of sbbs and it'sup and running now. ChatGPT helped correct all the old windows directories and it's working just like under Windows.
